motive8 North has recently opened a new Personal Training and Class Studio in Holbeck Urban Village, Leeds. Situated in the grounds of Marshall’s Mill, the studio offers 1:1 training, buddy training and small group fitness classes.
Through Pro-Active London, motive8 has been successful in receiving its first ever lot of funding. Working in conjunction with Pro-Active London and Sport England, we will be running an adult Gymnastics Strength & Conditioning Club from August 2011.
Amanda Holden is a busy and successful actress whose long-standing personal ambition was to complete the much-lauded Flora London Marathon. In November 2007, Amanda employed the services of motive8 and head physical trainer, Gareth Traves, to help her prepare for the 26-mile long race scheduled to take place in April 2008.
Sarah is a 34 year old mother of two who suffered with sacro-iliac joint pain (SIJ) following the birth of her second child. She also had poor posture, especially around neck and shoulders, from carrying babies, pushing prams and breast feeding.
Gareth Traves is the head Trainer at motive8 and has looked after our training department for the last 4 years. Gareth’s main interests and expertise lie in performance and training for specific goals and targets, which has led to him working with numerous athletes and celebrities for a variety of events.
Although Chris is a healthy 55 year old and is generally active through walking holidays and day to day activities, including being a keen gardener, he realised that he never put aside time to carry out specific fitness activities for his long term health and wellbeing and had no idea where to start.
Julie runs a small consultancy company and works on projects which can involve long hours and overseas travel. Whilst she enjoys taking on personal challenges as a way of focusing her fitness efforts, having sailed 2 legs of a round the world yacht race and climbed Kilimanjaro, when working on long term projects her fitness programme can slip.
