motive8 Holiday Camp February Half Term 2011

Collis Primary School

Following a promising end to 2010 with a good October half term camp, the first camp of 2011 could not have kicked of the year any better.

The camp held at Collis Primary School in Teddington has become a great home for motive8 holiday provision. The school boasts great outdoor space and indoor facilities, enabling us to host a range of sports from Football, Tag Rugby and Hockey to Gymnastics, Cheerleading and Streetdance.

Although the 2 camp themes ran separately from each other, the real atmosphere was generated once again with our unique warm-ups, team building activities and down time games.

Each day started with a warm-up activity, where both halves of the camp came together. On a couple of days, our mascot Mackenzie - who the children were raving about and wanted to see - came along and took part in a special dance with the children!

After lunch, we had team building activities where both halves of the camp came together again - to make our camp have its unique atmosphere we believe that the team building games have become an integral part to each camp day, the February half temp camp was no different!

Finally, the end of each day finished with activities, such as Team Chants, where each coach at camp took a group of children from both camps across all ages to create a chant - teams then showed their chants and moves to each other.

We also had more dances like ‘Cotton Eyed Joe’ from Mackenzie and other games that are designed to relax the children. Parents then arrived to collect their children and at the end of each day the Gymnastics, Cheerleading and Streetdance group performed for the parents and the Multisports group, bringing each day to a wonderful close!
