With the end of the summer term approaching, the 7th motive8 sports day at Kew Riverside Primary School was just around the corner. With the usual pre-event planning underway ahead of schedule, the team was fully prepared to deliver yet another hugely successful event.
In typical English style, the first event had to be called off due to torrential rain; not only was the team completely soaked through, but so were the school field and all the equipment, which needed a good week to dry out.
Attempt number 2 and the sun was shining! The field was split into ten events, with motive8 staff re-spraying the event stations, re-printing score sheets and raring to go! The children were split into teams, each one representing a different country. The individual scores from each team member as they completed all of the ten disciplines were then added together to provide a country (team) total. This year, victory went to Russia, followed by Canada and Kenya.
The competitive races were the best to date, with more Key Stage 2 children opting to take part than ever before. The parents races also saw a good field put forward!
"I love sports day; motive8 make it so fun. Even though my team didn't win, I have had a great day."
