Our team of fully-qualified Rehabilitation and Sports Therapists can treat all types of sports-related injuries and problems. What’s more, a number of our rehab therapists are also personal trainers, which enables them to work simultaneously to repair your injuries and prepare your body for a complete and full return to exercise.
Some of the services we offer include:
Body MOT – a 60-minute postural assessment designed to evaluate any skeletal and muscular imbalances which, if undetected, may lead to chronic and long term injury. A corrective exercise programme is subsequently formulated to fit into your lifestyle.
Postural correction & gait analysis – individualised sessions aim to re-educate postural control and core stability, which can help relieve even niggling day-to-day aches and pains.
Jenny is in her early seventies and suffers with knee pain. She used to walk everywhere and swim occasionally but started to have a problem with her right knee which left her very dependent on public transport and getting lifts.
Jenny Mullen is one of motive8’s Sport Rehabilitation Therapists and has looked after our GP referral scheme for the last 4 years. Jenny’s main interests and expertise lies in assessment of injuries, postural analysis and correction as well as the restoration of proprioception and core strength following an injury.
Nicola was referred to motive8’s rehabilitation clinic in July 2009 after complaining of plantar fascia pain in her right foot together with groin pain. Nicola’s foot pain began four years ago following one of her regular yoga classes then, a year later, she was out walking in the park and found it a struggle to walk back home.
Peter was handed over to motive8 by a retiring trainer in order to continue his personal training. Peter’s initial assessment, before commencing training, it was reported that he had suffered intermittently from lower back pain, which had progressively become more of a constant problem.
