Staff Development
motive8 offers a number of Continuing Personal Development programmes suitable for all ages and backgrounds. These include teacher and coach inset days, coaching CPD as well as team building events for both adults and children. All courses can be tailored to suit a school or organisation’s individual needs and can be activity or theme-specific.
Our teacher & coach insets can provide varying levels of support for teachers, classroom assistants or coaches who are working within the curriculum or on extra-curricular activities. Our modules are delivered by experienced, CRB-checked tutors and are designed to fulfil the requirements of the National Curriculum as well as the Physical Education and Sport Strategy for Young People (PESSYP). Modules are delivered as practical sessions and can be run as whole day insets, half day sessions or twilight courses.

- Assessment in physical education
motive8 team building days utilise a variety of activities that address four core disciplines: interpersonal relationships, team building, trust and initiative. Emphasis is placed on the journey to success in the workplace, at school or in sport when people work together as a team. Effective communication is a common theme throughout tasks.

motive8 Coaches CPD Programme
As part of the schools department’s continual commitment to provide the best possible curricular and extra-curricular sports provision to the young people in its schools, motive8 created and delivered a series of six coach training workshops.
motive8 Apprenticeships
motive8 has developed a longstanding relationship with Richmond upon Thames College (RTC) and has committed to taking on a new Apprentice each academic year. Our Apprentice for 2009/10 has spent both time in the office and also out in the field, delivering coaching at our primary schools.
Training for Teachers
motive8 delivered the first of its new ‘Training for Teachers’ programme with a primary schools gymnastics training workshop held at Ashley Primary School in Walton on Thames, Surrey.
