Project Case Study

Elektron, East London

Barratt East London

Elektron is Barratt's outstanding new London Docklands development: three spectacular towers, up to 24 storeys high, situated just off Aspen Way and affording stunning views across the Thames to the Dome and to the Canary Wharf district.

A uniformed concierge offers a 24/7 service while a private gym exclusively for use by Elektron residents is also on-site. It's part of an area set for massive regeneration thanks to the 2012 Olympic Games in Stratford and even has its 'own' Docklands Light Railway station, East India, making travel to and from home about as convenient as it gets.

Elektron is unique in that is houses two separate gyms - one in Tower 3 and another in Tower 1. The slightly larger of the two facilities is located in Tower 3 and was completed during the first phase of construction whilst the facility in Tower 1 was finished towards the end of the scheme’s overall completion.

Each gym is equipped with Life Fitness cardiovascular apparatus incorporating treadmills, cross-trainers, bikes and Concept2 rowers. In addition, we installed an Express Circuit, which offers all the latest resistance equipment for conditioning and strengthening exercises.

Provision of an induction package and secure key code access system allows residents to be fully-educated on all the equipment, leading to safe training and maximum benefits from workouts. motive8’s maintenance package also means the equipment is serviced on a quarterly basis and remains in optimal working order.
