Aftercare at Greenhouse, Leeds

Greenhouse is an award-winning, eco-driven residential-led development in South Leeds. The distinctive development comprises 172 one, two and three bedroom apartments plus high specification creative work space. It is motive8’s 6th Yorkshire-based gym installation. In August 2010, motive8 completed the design and installation of the Greenhouse’s residents’ only onsite gym facility.

Upon completion, we were retained by the client to deliver inductions to new residents as well as maintain the equipment on an ongoing basis.

The client opted for our quarterly maintenance contract, which covers four callouts, servicing, parts and labour over a 12 month period. By keeping the new equipment in optimum working order, residents are assured of fewer callouts and less down time from broken equipment. Regular servicing also helps extend the life of the equipment, reducing the need for early replacement and unnecessary additional expenditure.

As part of motive8’s extended aftercare service, we have also been employed to deliver inductions to all new residents of the Greenhouse who wish to use the gym. This involves a 30 minutes demonstration and safety briefing, ensuring all residents have the knowledge to not only get the most out of the equipment when exercising but to use it with minimum risk of injury.

The induction session also provides users with the opportunity to ask our trainers for any tips or guidance before commencing their training. Residents also have access to our personal training services via our Leeds-based trainer.

motive8 was quick to understand our requirements and proposed a tailor-made service which was completed within a tight timeframe. Their attention to detail, flexibility, availability, customer service and quality of installation has made the gym at Greenhouse a true success. We look forward to working with them on the next Citu scheme.
